VETERINARIANS AND STAFF:
Dr. Denice grew up in southern New Mexico but received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 1999. She was caring for animals almost before she could walk.
After practicing general veterinary medicine for 15 years, she became aware of the need for a more personal, compassionate, gentle and peaceful way to help our pets in their end of life stages and begin offering in-home hospice and palliative care to include in-home euthanasia services to families in Western Colorado. She sends her warmest welcome inviting you to join the River Valley Gateway family as a supporter, client, or team member.

Jammie has 2 two-legged children and is pet parent to her German Shepard, Olaf, plus many other pets on their Fruita farm. Jammie has been working in the animal husbandry field all of her life and has mastered her dreams of becoming a veterinary assistant. She would like to express her sincere caring for the furry friends that bless your life and she wishes to honor all those joy filled days with them by your side.
Melissa has 1 skin child and many fur babies, including Rudy her Boston Terrier. She has earned a Business degree here locally at Colorado Mesa University with a concentration in management and marketing. Melissa has always had a passion for pets and wants to ensure a good quality of life for them. She would like to remind you that when your pet has an ache or pain or has been diagnosed with a problem, call on us to help with your unique situation. We will be kind, caring, courteous, patient and compassionate.
Josh has a passion for people. He functions best in his gift of service. If there is anything he can do for you, he will. Josh is currently working towards completing 150 hours of training for his "Death and Grief Studies Certificate" throughout the Center For Loss and Life Transitions in Fort Collins, Colorado under the direction of Dr Wolfelt. Josh's wishes are to be a companion for grieving pet parents before, during and after the loss of a family pet. He understands acute loss as well as anticipated loss but at the same time understands the hope of healing.
Sarah with their recent addition of their second two-legged child is pet parent to, Ruger, her Australian Shepard, as well as many other pets on their Glade Park ranch. Sarah has education and training towards a degree in Animal Science and has experience working as a veterinary technician for the last 10 years. She would like to take this time to welcome you to our pet loving family and offer her help with those pets that have graced your life.
Tanner is a Colorado native and a proud parent to both his very active two-legged son and his fur baby, Patch, a red merle Miniature Australian Shepard. They all love the outdoors! Tanner has special training as an EMT and extrapolates his medical training to help pets in need. Tanner has never known life without a pet or 2 or 5 or 6 - all at one time. He has experience with a variety of species big and small and has a compassionate heart towards their wellbeing.
